Part of the University of Auckland, The Gus Fisher Gallery showcases contemporary and historical art with a focus on New Zealand and the wider Pacific area – The gallery also features overseas work relevant to New Zealand.

The gallery is also used for teaching and learning, performances, readings, talks and demonstration in an effort to foster creative and academic research, and encourage the development of postgraduate study in the visual arts.
