NZ’s only fulltime professional comedy club was opened in October 1997 and in three short years has gone from being ‘the new kid on the block’ to an institution on the local entertainment scene.The Classic is open up to 7 days a week with a regular programme of live comedy from Wednesday to Saturday. In addition to comedy The Classic regularly hosts local bands, private functions and the bi-monthly ‘ShortFuse’ night with the latest in shortfilms and videos.
