Get ready to witness netball like you've never seen it played at Vector Arena before!
The Fast5 Netball World Series is a high-speed, high-octane variant on the traditional game played by the world's top six netballing nations—New Zealand (the Fast5 Ferns), Australia, England, Jamaica, South Africa and Malawi. Since its original launch as FastNet in 2009, it has proven a hit with players and spectators, including an international TV audience. The evolution of the game to Fast5 will provide fans with an even greater spectacle.
The Fast5 Netball World Series is one of two IFNA (International Netball Federation) international competitions. Fast5 is a “short form” version of netball played as a round robin, over three days by the top six netball nations in world rankings. The rules of the game are modified creating a spectacular and dynamic version of the game demanding high levels of athleticism. The event culminates in a finals day and a Fast5 World Series crown is presented. The annual event has been held in England for the past three years and in 2012 it will be held in New Zealand at Vector Arena.
