The Kings Arms may be one of the oldest pubs in town (being established in 1880) but with the amount of live performances the bar hosts – The Kings Arms is anything but old and tired. With live music (leaning towards the rock/alternative side) playing 4 to 5 nights a week, The Kings Arms is one of the best alternative venues in Auckland City. The bar has become a favourite of international bands seeking somewhere alternative, small and intimate to play. Past bands who have taken the Kings Arms stage include Crowded House, Jakob, Converge and The Checks.
